Do you ever feel like your anemone is like a dog, walking around in a circle about a dozen times before it finally decides to lay down and attach. My little guy has been moving around in circles and won’t just settle in for the last 2 day. Put in my first anemones and corals yesterday morning and everybody settled in but one. Hope he makes a home soon

Once a RFA finds a home they don't often move again. I've found, and many other have agreed, that putting a RFA in a PVC pipe end cap and then putting it in the sand works extremely well right from the start.

I snorkel in the Florida Keys and see RFA's all the time. They are always in holes with their foot set inside and deep enough that they can retract inside the hole and all but disappear. We've found lots of them in holes in the rock that is covered with a thin layer of sand. Thus the end cap (hole in the rock) and then placing the end cap in the sand. They will even retract and disappear under the sand. So don't be alarmed if that happens.

I've got RFA's that have lived in end caps for 3 or 4 years now and have even breed baby RFA's several times.

You might want to look over this thread as there is a lot of good info there.

Amy, I'm happy to try and help. If you ever have a question about your RFA, feel free to ask me. I don't claim to be an expert, but I have quite a bit of experience with them both in my aquarium and in the wild.

These are 3 of my adult RFA and about seven tiny kids. You may have to look hard to find them all!

Beautiful, I’m definitely interested in trying out this technique, my only concern is that it was put in on Tuesday. It was moved yesterday. I am almost afraid to move it again. I just don’t know how much stress I can handle. My large one was settled and happy within about five minutes but my little one is now going on the third morning and still does not look like it’s happy
