We often go to Jamaica, Turks and Caicos.
My wife and kids grab some coral and rocks from the beach quite often.
If they’ve been dried for quite some time, are they safe to put into your tank?

You'd want to cure them for at least 8 weeks and really test eveything to make sure they aren't leaching anything bad.

I'd even give them a bleach cure for 2 weeks then on to a 8 week salt water cure.

Do you need someone to carry your bags for you? Lol

This is not legal. Even dead coral is still on cites.

It’s basically shells and fragments that have washed up on the beach

Talking with law enforcement at T&C they are very serious about not removing anything natural; I had to put a dried sea fan back on the beach on an outer island. Still you can buy trumpet snail shells, etc. from locals.

I have ricks from all over my travels in the Caribbean. TC, BVI, ABC islands, etc.

I always find ONE good size rock. Just don’t go crazy with it and more often than not it isn’t an issue. When asked I say it’s a shell and they say ok. Lol

I have never had a problem, my wife and kids take them just to put in jars at home and we label them each year.

I don’t take a lot of stuff just a few handfuls To look decent in a mason jar.
