Rock fusion: How do you connect your reef rocks?

So you decided to build an aquascape in a new tank or maybe you are rescaping your current setup – how do you get the rocks to stick together? Do you stack them on top of each other and hope they stay? Maybe you have used some type of epoxy or glue? Please tell us how you have connected your reef rocks. Also, consider sharing tips and pictures in the discussion thread!

I use everything lol. I only wish i have the creative mind of some of you guys that can really think outside of the box.

I used superglue and mortar to build my last dry rock aquascape. Then I fought the "uglies" for two years! Finally now it is starting to look good.

I used a combination of epoxy and glue. There is a tiny “rubble stack” in the bottom middle that is just loosely stacked.

I've used epoxy, doesn't hold great.
Water super glue and sand works incredible.
I was thinking about cement, not sure about cure time.
And I've used aquafix. Okay but not great.

Water super glue is the only way I'm going in the future.

i dont lol, all my rocks are not glued together... its all built up from loose rocks

I am trying to glue rock to acrylic while running a tank. So far... WC vs Glue 0 - 3

I hope to find the holy grail here!

I glued mine together for the big pieces and then loose for the small pieces.

I have always used super glue and cigarette filters, sets like rock., put the rocks how you want them, fill the gaps where they join with filter and drop the superglue on to the filter...they never move.

I hope it's ok to post a related question... What's the best way to attach coral (e.g. small pieces of cyphastrea) to a plastic overflow box or glass?

Rock powder and ultra thin super glue makes bonds in seconds that are stronger than the rocks.

I used 1/4 inch fiberglass rods and super glue to connect my rocks together. Using. 1/4 inch masonry bit to drill two holes that connect via to rod with a bit of super glue and I am more than confident that nothing will separate them.

I've never heard of using baking soda before! What's the technical explanation for why it works?

(One thing I like about epoxy is the rocks CAN be broken apart at a later time -- helps with those large structures)
