Rock growth??

Ah. I get it. I don’t have a sump as I have a Biocube all in one. I guess the first chamber.

I had a zoa on a gray that stopped opening. I thought it was overgrown with some corraline algae (there may have been a couple of vermatid on them). I did scrape it as I thought whatever was growing on it was irritating it and the zoa opened and looked happier.

I can do that again. Thanks for the tip.

Also I may try littlefoxx’s suggestion with bumble bee snails.

I do appreciate the information you all provided. Thank you.

If you have any others please provide. I really do enjoy getting on R2R. Very helpful. I’m learning a lot. Thanks
Bumblebees are predatory snails and will kill and eat any other snails you have also.

Hmmm.

I don’t like the idea of that.
If I scrape off will that be enough or is there a special procedure?
And then if the tubes come off will it be enough if left to n the sandbed until I can siphon with a water change?

Make sure to get the base also. Do it when you do a siphon/water change. No real special procedure.

I may try scraping them as I am worried that bumble bee snails may kill other snails I have and hermits. Although I do have lots or vermatid. Some are growing on the under surface of a low lying cave I have.

I had them last year, threw in the bumblebee snails and haven’t seen any in about a year. They are almost impossible to keep out of our tanks so I always have bumblebee snails in my tank. Oh, they are in there with limpets, trocus, ceriths, nassarius and turbos with no problems.

I appreciate everyone’s input. R2R is a great community and I learn a lot from all of you. Thank you.

Just to confirm these are vermatid snails in my DT before I order the bumble bee snails.

I am attaching better pics of my DT.
Please confirm if so. There are so many and in hard to reach places that I am hoping the bumble bee snails can help.

Anything I need to worry about bumble bees and livestock??

Thanks again.
