I’ve had this ‘men for 4-5 years. Over the past few months it’s slowly turning inside-out and has gone from being beautiful to somewhere between hideous and I’m concerned about it. Any ideas?

I am a nem nut for all nems except rfas. I have a ton of them, but never a single issue. Even the ones I brought back from the keys in a 16 hour car ride.

But @Ron Reefman is a guru for those guys. Ron, can you take gander and help out? I assume rfas are like other nems, but not sure if they have odd tendencies that only pertain to them.

How long has this RFA looked like that?

It's not unusual for most any anemone to do this. They only have one hole and it's both a mouth and a anus. If it ate something that disagrees with it, or that it can't digest, it will push it's gut out into the water and try to get rid of whatever is bothering it. I've seen nems do this for hours and sometimes even for several days.

Ron, thanks for the reply. Its been getting more anus, less mouth for about a month, maybe even closer to 2. Slowly but surely. I would hope whatever it ate has come back out by now. Should I attempt a bit more supplemental food, or just keep leaving it alone?

Personally, I'd just leave it alone. If it's in real distress, feeding or doing anything else might just make it worse.
