Rock or Sand

Getting my rock, hopefully tomorrow, heard and read different ways, new tank, rock first or sand first, pros and cons of each,thanks, hopefully pictures to follow Thursday,thanks

I used a piece of plastic egg crate and set my rock on that then added my sand. Didn't want my rock directly in the glass

If you plan on having any critters that can make significant burrows -- such as pistol shrimp -- it would be better to put the base pieces of any tall mounds of rock on the bottom of the tank first, then add the sand. If their burrowing causes the base rocks to shift or slip, it can cause rock work to fall.

Other than that, IMO it doesn't really matter.

What about using starboard on the glass , then place the rocks and then the sand
