Rock Powder for the Thin Glue Method

Are you talking about how they glue rocks together and hide the seams with the powder? Like they did in a Tidal Gardens video? Just use sand.

I used CaribSea sand. Here is a link that may be helpful.

 
Thank you both. Had seen the videos but also saw where using sand that didn’t match the rocks made it obvious where the joints were. The clean ones were all with powdered Marco rocks

Well, in a month, the rock should be pretty well aged in the tank, so you won't even see the difference. :)

Yep, what T-J said, you won't notice after a few months.
 
I was going to use small chips of rock and pound them into sand, but I found that after chiseling up 35# of rock (in a cardboard box) I had a ton of powder/chips/pebbles in the bottom of the box. I didn't need to "make" any more, and I had plenty leftover when I was done.
