This last June I ended up with more live rock than I needed. I put the wet rock in a black plastic bag and left it out doors with the idea of doing something with it. Now I can use it. I opened the bag and the liquid was long gone and the rock is dry. Really looks good. I placed the rock in a bucket of hot water to rinse and soak.
Question is, can the rock be placed into the tank or do I need to bleach it first?
I live in Manhattan so that gives you an idea of the weather the bag was subjected to.
This rock came from the Tampa Bay area.
If bleaching, how long.
Thanks.

Some good info here... I, personally, used an acid followed by bleach.
