Is there anyway to break up live rock to use as rock rubble? Or should I just go at it with a hammer?

When I need rubble, I use a pair of large pliers and a screw driver. Break off pieces and pry it to get it to crack along natural "faults" (so to speak lol). Results in less dust and tiny pieces.
