apparently i jinxed myself, my ph is like off the charts, i thought it was supposed to raise the ph!!??
:jaw: vlangel: it was waay cheaper than any other rock and as porous as it is i'm sure it will seed beautifully and help filter like a champ.
When I bought it years ago it was $1.49lb, LR was minimally $5.98lb if you were buying a quantity and $7.98lb if you were buying less. Back then everyone I knew with saltwater tanks used tufa for the foundation and used the prettier LR in the most visual areas of the aquarium.
That's pretty close to the same here, my tufa was 1.20$ but only cause I bought a whole 30lb case, lace rock is 2.99$ and live cured is 5.99-9.99++ I prefer dry lace rock over the "premium cured Fiji" anyways.
Hey, this is an expensive hobby so if you can finds ways that can save money without compromising the well being of the animals you are going to keep, I say go for it!
