is it a good idea to get half live and half dry rock to aquascape with? Save some $$ and let the live rock seed the dry?

I would get a majority dry and maybe a pound or two to seed.

You don't need much to seed dry rock.

I used all dry rock in mine so I know I don't have any pests it might take a little longer to cycle and you can get the Bactria to cycle it with I would go for Dry rock

I like that idea, definitely lower cost for the rock and can take my time getting it aquascaped without worrying about die off
