Rock

Hi I've had live rock from when I bought the tank but was never put back in its sat in a bucket no water so (not really live anymore) in my basement I was wondering if adding this rock would do anything crazy to my tank by putting it back in like algae bloom or kill my fish? Thanks for any help

It probably has dead organisms and tissues on it which will decay and release nutrients. I might bleach it first. Check threads on bleaching and acid treatment of rock.

Yeah I would cook it first, then a let sit in RO water for a bit....then add to tank...
