Hi I’m going be upgrading from tropical to saltwater soon and just in the process of getting advice and researching, I spoke to my LFS about initial set up and he was advising to go down the live rock route as says it will be easier they have live rock in the store ( see photos) and says has been in there for over a year, so want to know what route is best to go down ?

For a first tank, live rock will probably give you the highest success.

Hi thanks for your reply, on the photos of the rock is there anything I need to do to it or do I just put in tank straightaway and add saltwater?

Welcome. I would get your tank up and running with heated saltwater before I get the rock. You want to keep it alive. The less time out of water the better.
