Not sure if this is the right subject to post but my rocks were green now they are turning a whiteish color. I have pics of the same rock in the tank and this is what it's doing. I have not changed anything recently to my lighting. I had a dino problem which I let my tank get really dirty then they went away, did a water change and it has been great ever since. My nems are extended, my coral look good. Anyone have any ideas?

The one with the nems and zoa has a really dark green on it and the pics with the clown fish are like grey/white

My tank is 1-1/2 years old now and did the same thing.
Green is the Coraline algae and turning white in my case I thought that after the ugly stage, the hermits and snails picked the rocks clean...
I hear this is normal but in most cases it is due to too much light in those areas...
Maybe others can share their experiences and we all can learn more about this.

What kind of clean up crew do you have? My long spine urchin will leave parts of the rock looking white after a night of eating.

White in my experience is dying coraline either being eaten or too much light. Kind of like bleaching or burning a coral. Of course test Alk. Mag. Cal. If off coraline doesnt grow as fast.

I'll have to do a water test this week. I only have like 3 turbos and one toch snail, a cleaner shrimp (which he hangs out on these rocks the most) a strawberry conch, nass snails. If you guys think it's a clean up crew I wonder if it's the cleaner shrimp cause it hangs on these rocks 90 percent of the time

The ones on the left look purplish to me, some white, to me, normal.
What’s the age?
The rocks (without the nem and zoa) look fine to me.
The other shows a bit of algae.
