Hi everyone! The tank has been up and going for seven weeks now. Everything has been great and parameters are awesome. I’m just a little concerned on the color change that’s been slowing happening. I’ve read that newer tanks can have this issue but want to know what the experts (All of you reefers) think.

No expert, but had the same in my few month old tank and it slowly went away on its own as it's supposedly part of the process. However on my 6year old tank I have a diamond goby and he keeps the sand extremely clean.

Just one of those parts of a naturally progressing reef. I've had it through every tank I've ever set up, using dry rock especially. Give it time and you'll see a nice progression of colours as the tank matures.

I’m happy to hear it’s a normal process of the tank. I’m new to this hobby and nervous when something starts to change [emoji51]
Thanks for the input it really helps!

How large is this aquarium? 7 weeks is still fairly new, how long did your cycle last? Also I count 6 fish already, maybe slow down a bit and give the tank time to mature.
