I think most folks go 1:1 in terms of lbs of rock: gallons of water but ultimately it boils down to what kind of scape you’re trying to create. If you want more open spaces, you should be good with 40lbs of rock altogether

I was thinking of either order a few lbs from LFS for "Bali cultured live rock," but that's expensive for 25$ per lb, or get it from Tampa Bay saltwater for 6 dollar pounds
