Hey fellow reefers,

Just setting up my rockscape for my Reefer 200XL. What do you think?

I’m pretty happy with it but maybe you’ll have some additional advice for me?

Great question ! I left about 2 inches. But will double check.

Love the scape. Especially with the island on the front left. It’s actually very similar to how I have one of my nanos set up.

Looks great. Congrats on your Red Sea tank. Been digging mine.

Love it! Wouldn’t change anything. I just finished up mine last weekend and used E Marco 400 pink to cement it all together. Worked really well and the pink blended perfectly with the rock. Used small pieces of broken up rock to cover up the bigger seams. I’ve had rocks tumble in other tanks and it’s no fun at all.

I have Aqua Stik Coralline Red. Which was recommended by the shop. Hope it it works out. Was just gonna use thick super glue originally.

The epoxy will work great. I like to make a ball of epoxy and put gel superglue on either side of the seam. So you’ll have rock-glue-epoxy-glue-rock. The glue really binds better than epoxy. But the epoxy has more structural support, while also getting into the nooks and crevices. I did this on my most recent build and then coated the epoxy (I used grey) with dry aragonite substrate and super glue to hide seams.
