So I have 300dd. Still kind of dirty so please excuse the mess :)!

Anyway working on some ideas. I know there are a lot of extreme minimalist and while I do appreciate its style I am going for a more full look (but obviously not the rock "wall" effect either). It is a very deep tank, there is about 2 inches on the back that don't touch the wall and about 1-2 inches between the side walls and the rock (Mostly 2 - one spot is closer to 1 but i may trim off that piece.). Any thoughts here :) Will update my main "DIY" project one here soon.

Please note I plan on putting around 2 inches of sand in the bottom of it.

I would check and make sure your cleaning tools fit between the rocks and glass, otherwise I think it looks good! I like the shelves!

Here are a few updates with it. Move some stuff around to make it a bit more stable and interesting.

with that much rock, you have a lot of room for corals, but less for fish.
i suspect that is what you are going for - fill it up with corals yes?

i love the shelves!!

Yes I want to do reef tank! So my fish selection is a bit more limited so figure might as well make sure that I have a lot of good light space for coral. However believe it or not there is only maybe 200 pounds of rock in it. I have about 520 gallons of water volume with my sump and refugium. Will use some marine pure to up my rock content.
