Rocky mountain fish filter

Why NOT JUst use sponges which you can easily wring out. I have done this for years and its cheaper and WORKS!

Questions:
  • Tightening and loosening.... how does it effect the flow?
  • Does the water go through the holes in the top?
  • Can they been ran through the dishwasher?
  • Bleaching okay?
  • Could you mix a 110 and a 200 to make a hybrid one?
  • How fast will they clog up?
  • Maximum flow per cartridge?
  • How long before they clog up?
  • What is filtered out of the water? Visual inspection (maybe clean in a bucket to see)
Please add to the list of questions you guys have.
Will they be done in other colors. Can you mix and match disk

I would be surprised if they do different colors...I think it will be possible to mix them. At the price point I am not sure if they will survive as a company...Not to be mean...just a high price point. The website and lack of data is really really bad. Seems like a really small company which means production costs are higher.

I am still waiting on the last two....Another option that just came out... V2 of the Klir. Only 230 dollars. https://www.aquacave.com/klir-fleece-filter-di-4-v2.html
So many products on the market now and so many options.
That price point really really needs to come down and the product needs a lot of testing/Stats added to their site.
I like the klir... but I'm not trying to add to monthly cost. So I'm hoping you say it turns out the RMF works because you don't have to keep spending money to keep those working.

That is true...when I loosened the discs more it does seem to be doing a better job of letting the water through. What does that mean, I don't know....is it no longer 200 micron? Does it matter? What about adding a piece of foam in the little media Cup for secondary filtration?

Does it seem to be catching debri?

They just released a video today too
I saw one on Instagram with them rinsing it out? Is that the one you are talking about? Post the video link so people can see it.

In the video I saw the filter wasn't keeping up with the water and it was going down through the top. Maybe that is how they decided it needed to be cleaned.

It looks like it works but I'll wait for your review

Look at the water level

Not trying to bash the company but I am thinking I may be a fool for buying these. He waited until it is going way over the caps and down the middle.

Noticed they turned off comments for their video….pretty fishy to me. Don’t want anyone pointing out the water level or asking any of the “hard” questions apparently!

Agreed I bought 4 of them as I thought it was a cool ideal…I am having a hard time justifying the cost now.

Maybe they don't have the answers to our questions?
Why put out a product and don't want to face the questions?

Reminds me of the old plastic air stone, adjustable for bubble size by either tightening the discs for small bubbles or loosening them for larger bubbles.
SO, by that reasoning loosening them should allow for more flow.
How much more is the question.
