CO2 has been destroying my DI filters. I am thinking about treating my source water to lower the CO2. One way is to aerate the RO product before running it through the DI filter. That being said will require me to collect RO product into large containers, aerate it overnight then pump it into storage containers. This is a lengthy process that I would like to avoid. Do you think I could store source water in large containers for several days to remove the CO2 then pump it through my RODI unit into storage vessels. In doing this I might avoid aerating overnight and once I started pumping to the RODI I would finish in one day rather than two. Thanks for any advise.

What is your dKH measure on your tap water?

Do you use a carbon block and do you change it regularly?

Sorry for the dumb questions. I just don't know about your system.

I have a Spectrapure CSPDI 90 that has had close to 130 gal. of product run through it and source water is 450. Not sure what Dkh is in source but in product it is 7.5. The unit has one each sediment, carbon, RO and DI. sediment, carbon and DI are spectrapure 10inch. Pressure booster provides 90 psi. Only DI filter has been changed and I’m going on my 3rd change. That’s about 42 gal per filter.

I have some ideas, but since you are all SpectraPure I would call them and ask them your question. They are the experts with this stuff and have literally seen it all, not mention they are plugged in to all of the new equipment that might be out there.

If that isn't an option post back and I will give you some of my suggestions. :)
