Everyone talks about getting their RO/DI water from their local fish store. Another source to check out is the local brewing store. A few in my area sell RO/DI water for beer making. FYI

Great advice!

To add, make sure you're testing the TDS that your source is selling you. A decent handheld TDS meter can be had for <$20 and ensure you're getting what you pay for. Unfortunately, I find many LFS do not keep tabs on their own in-house RO/DI systems.

If TDS is not 0-1 ppm, do not buy it.

We've installed several RO systems for local breweries here in Michigan, however, most do not require the addition of DI on their systems.

Funny you say that. I can't tell you how many times we've done installations and/or maintenance calls in businesses that sell RO or RODI water, and found no one understands or maintains the system, or keeps regular tabs on how well the system is operating. Always seems strange to us - even when the company is making good money on the system they still don't "own it."
