Rodi cloudy water question

here it is. It is under blue light in this image. It is an obvious very fine particle (can't see) that is reflecting the light from above. With the lights off it appears "clearer" but it is not. It doesn't quickly settle when the pumps are off but over four or five days some settles and it becomes cloudier at the surface later. The only thing I can figure out is dust coming in the open portion of the canopy.
I have two 300 micron filter socks that are doing nothing, I put two or three cups of carbon in the socks and none of that helped. I them put a 100 micron mat in the water flow and it is catching something (looks gray/black carbon wearing maybe). I then put a 20 micron (I think clarisea roller filter material) and it turned black and gray. I'm and considering adding salt and skimming heavy and see if that helps. Ideas?
