My water storage/mixing/etc location is across my 2car garage from my water feed.

My question is: which is worse, having my pure water line run up the wall and across the ceiling (possibly through the attic) or have the feed and drain lines do this? I know head pressure and drag from a long waste line is a problem, but is the long pure water line also an issue?
Having a drain near the storage/mixing location is not possible given the layout of my garage.

Frictional loss through small tubing is very high. Put the RO/DI next to your water source and use containers with carts to wheel around the garage.

just not an option - the water source is on the "off" side of the garage.

Even without the car in the way our garages are our only storage here in Florida, RODI/SW storage and mixing has to be on the side of the garage near the door to the house or else it will be inaccessible.

Run the treated water over to your mixing station. The small amount of headloss on the treated line is minimal if it is only going up a single story and say 35 horizontal feet or less. When you start extending the tap water line using the 1/4" tubing friction losses start being an issue, same with the waste line where extending it can change your waste ratio.

That is what I suspected, thank you.

Eventually there will be a tap line near my mixing station, but getting a drain over there would require cutting the slab.
