I'm using a system with 2 RO membranes. I'm questioning the configuration of the lines into and out of the RO membranes.
Out of the box, the source water (after passing through sediment/carbon filters, and booster pump) enters RO #1. There are two outlets from RO #1 which I assume one is filtered water and the other is dirty water. The clean water is sent to ASO and then DI filters. The dirty water is routed to the inlet for RO #2.
I would have imagined that the system would be setup in 1 of 2 scenarios. Parallel or in series.
1. The source water is split between each RO membrane. The like outlets are combined and sent to waste and DI filters.
2. The source water is routed through RO #1. Dirty water to waste, clean water to RO #2. Outlets of RO #2 go to waste and DI filters.
Before moving the TDS probes around to check, I thought I would ask here to see if someone could help.
Thanks
