I think I know the answer but I have to ask. @AZDesertRat or any other RODI specialist:
I have been using a AR122 RODI. Works great but my silica keeps climbing so...
I am thinking of placing a Silica Buster cartridge in my 3rd filter housing prior to the membrane. That leaves me with one sediment and one carbon block. Then it would be the silica buster, membrane, and normal DI horizontal columns. All powered with a booster pump.
The input water has already passed through the whole house system which contains a softener and a carbon stack.
Will this affect membrane life?
Or should I just buy an additional filter housing and put the DI column post membrane and remove the 2 horizontal DI beds?
