RODI Drain Line

Is there a way for me to Tee my drain line into the main water drain? The house I’m living in has a partially finished basement where I will be making my water, however there is no drain in the basement. The washer and dryer are down here as well, but the washer drains into the sump, which concerns me if I have the water line open and the power goes out. How can I prevent such an event, or more accurately, how can I plumb the line into an actual drain, like the first floor sink or something? If I do that, will the pressure in the RODI system be strong enough to push the waste line up a floor

If you can fish the line into a bathroom you can saddle clamp above the bend to tap into the drain. Even on the lower end of pressure RO units can easily push water up a story no issues

Alternately you could use a solenoid on your source water line. If the power goes out your product would stop.

If you can fish the line into a bathroom you can direct the line up and into the toilet tank.

I have the same exact setup I think you're describing. Finished basement and the washing machine, laundry utility sink and bathroom plumbing all go into a sump pump. So I plumbed my RODI directly to my main house sewer line. See pics.

You might want to check codes in your area it is usually illegal to drain washing machine waste water in your sump pump
