Rodi fast flush valve, is it a joke?

What are your thoughts on fast flush valves? For years I used one but nowadays I just let it run for a bit without the fast flush because I want all of the stagnant water out, but I'm not sure which is the best way.

all the years ,never used a flush on any unit,just have valves at all three points,close when finished,let run couple min on start up ,and go..just my.02

That's exactly what I have been doing for the past couple of years and will continue to do unless someone can convince me otherwise
