I have a 75 Gallon rodi 4 Unit BRS . I need to change all my filters been like 3 years.

Is there a big difference in replacement generic membrane vs Dow or spectrapure

eBay has a ton for sale at $15 to $20 compared to $35.

Purchase total replacement filters + membranes is at $75 on BRS.

Always looking to get the best bang for the buck. What’s everyone choice on replacing , SPS dominant tank w/ torches and chalices

IMO/E most generic membranes don't even belong in the same sentence as DOW or spectrapure (Treated DOW membranes) when it comes to quality and efficiency. I agree with above, with RODI you definitely get what you pay for so to speak. I run all spectrapure myself but any high quality DOW membrane will do.

Spectrapure is always my recommendation for RODI. If you're getting 3+ years out of filters, the amortized cost of going with a premium option isn't that bad.

If on city water, check to see if you need a chloramine filter or not. If you contact Spectrapure they will be happy to make suggestions on what will work best.

75 Gallon membrane or 100 Gallon. I have the option to upgrade

I'm all about that. I have black box lights and jebao powerheads but getting the best bang for your buck would be spending the extra few dollars for quality filters to prevent possibly losing thousands of dollars in corals. Water quality is the most important aspect of your tank. I always pay the few dollars extra also to get them from a reputable dealer. You never know how they are being stored, how old they are, if they are counterfeit, etc.
I change my membrane around 2yrs, carbon and sediment 3mo, and to get the best bang for your buck you have to use dual di resin beds.

It's based on your needs. But this is from airwaterice.com
"FilmTec (dow) redesigned their 75 GPD membranes and it now has a 99% rejection rate. Along with redesigning the 75 GPD, they redesigned the 100 GPD to where it now has a 98% rejection rate."

This spectrapure membrane is exceptional:

Combined with proper sediment, carbon, and DI stages, you can achieve extremely pure water.
I installed a new one 6 weeks ago.
Just got some ICP-OES results back from ATI.
Everything 0/undetectable, including silicon (which gets through many systems.)
