I own a 4-stage AquaFX Barracuda RO/DI unit. It has high flow / high rejection AquaFX TFC Membrane, a 1-micron sediment filter,a 2-micron Carbon Block Filter, and a color-indicating DI Resin Cartridge I have been noticing that my TDS readings are getting high sooner than what I thought they would last. So, I replaced all four filters in February of THIS year......it is already showing 100ppm TDS. My faucet water is only 80!! Is this normal? I am not producing that much water, either. I only own two tanks and both are under 55 gallons.
I looked back in my Amazon purchase history and it appears that I had replaced all four filters back in September of 2019. S the previous ones only last around 4 months and these only lasted 3 months. Is this normal? I had a look at the local water report that the city utilities board gave out last year and it looks good. In fact, a lot of freshwater/cichlid hobbyists say that the water is particularly good for Cichlid owners because the water here has a naturally high pH and it is "hard". I live in Springdale, Arkansas just in case there is anyone else on here from this area who may have similar issues.
Any tips or maybe something I am missing, or is this just par for the course?
Thanks so much
