Only seeing $200 options, and that’s out of my price range unfortunately

How many taxi rides have you paid so far? and I'm sure you've got a lot more taxi rides coming up

If no rodi unit for now, then try to find a local store within walking distance that sells bottles of distilled water, and then you can mix you own saltwater at home for much cheaper cost.

Even the distilled water route you’re going to get tired of that. The second unit you posted is only £13 more than the first one you were willing to get

Check out this one...connects to your sink or outdoor faucet...DI resin cartridge is like $20 more...this is the one I have and it gives me 0 TDS
the four stage is currently unavailable any idea where else I can get it from?

Is the 3 stage in stock? If so you can get the 3 stage and just buy the DI resin cartridge separately...it clips on really easily

keep in mind if you have city water high in tds or Chloramines… those small rodis have non standard filters and you may go through them faster making it cost more then a better unit. Just saying… not everyone’s water is the same.

how big of a tank? if its small you could just buy distilled water for a little while and save up for a good RODI

should be Cheaper then the taxi trip too

Do you have a washing machine hooked up in the house?
This^
We rent still and I was able to use this splitter piece off the washing machine cold water side.

I put two screws into studs in the wall and just slapped some basic plywood together and hung the plywood frame on the two screws so I can take the whole assembly down just by picking up the wood piece.. hope that helps

This is EXACTLY where I was going with this!!

I used a setup like this for 3-4yrs before I moved my setup to the basement.

OP, you can still use a budget RO unit, but you would only need some wood, and you would put maybe 4 holes in the sheetrock for the screws. That should be something you can easily fix if you ever move.

I really recommend hooking up to the washing machine cold water if possible. I had a faucet adapter blow off a couple times before I switched it to the washing machine line.

I’m struggling to find that one. Is this not good enough VYAIR Compact 3-Stage 50 Gallons Per Day (189 Litres) Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System For Marine Aquariums Tropical Fish Discus
Hi there. Did you end up buying this guy?

Did you have to drill any pipes? I'm in the same situation: any plumbing under the sink will trigger killer instincts in my wife. We're very limited in space

Ideally it's something i can plugin in any tap to produce 5gallons of rodi water every two weeks and that back to the cabinet :)

If you're only using that little water, buying from an LFS would actually be more economical than getting a unit. It would take years for a unit to pay off with this little use.

I'd absolutely agree with this if I had a car but I don't and i don't have the time to go by bus every two weeks

From a logistics pov, i can just get the unit and make my own water while working from home (don't tell my boss haha)

Only other way would be to just use distilled water maybe? But considering in supermarket it's like 1eur/2liters it'd take me 20eur/month ... in ~ four months I'd pay off the unit and save myself the carrying from there so nah, I'll just buy it

I'm just afraid about the faucet plug. I hope it works. Pressure seems to be fine in that tap, but i actually don't know how to measure 3 bar honestly (the minimum required from the manual)

Lemme know if you know how :)

We will see. Cheers!
