Hello ,I've been producing my own rodi for 7 months now and I have a well as my source water. My tds before house treatment is 420 ish. After my clorinator and large post carbon de clorinator my tds runs in the 200 range. My problem is that my dual di brs canisters get exhausted after about 150 gallons of water. So no need to say it's getting pricey. My question is how to reconfigure my system to get more life from it. I currently have 1 sediment ,then 2 carbon, then ro membrane, then two inline ten inch di cans. Any suggestions are welcome thanks and happy reefing. (A side note,I have a 180 gal reef and soon to have a 240 gal fowlr. So lfs bucket toting is not an option).

Agree....CO2 in the water. I believe the least expensive and easiest fix is to bubble the RO water before sending it through DI. Let's see what @AZDesertRat has to say.

With the proper pressure it should take around 30 minutes. Id definitely have gauges and start bubbling that water before DI. With those two things you should get over 1500 gallons or more.
Thanks I'm still confused on bubbling method but I'll read more into that post. I'll post pics of my progress as well.

Aerate for 24 hours, then run through DI. Don't use a booster pump, it is too much pressure.

So a secondary tank for aerated ro water then booster pumped through di cartridge to my storage tank then?
You could use a large trash can for aeration. The whole system needs the booster pump. If you dont use the booster pump you wont have a high rejection rate on your membrane, therefore shorter life and higher tds.

That's what I do. My thread that I posted is very thorough if you read it.

So just elevated aerating can bleeding through di? Thanks
To get maximum life and rejection out of your membrane it is designed to run at 60+ p.s.i. If you dont have that pressure, get a booster pump. If you read spectrapures or any high quality rodi makers website they will tell you this.

Before you do anything, what is your TDS going in to the sediment filter, after the RO membrane and after each DI filter? What is your pressure at the RO membrane or after the last carbon? What is your water temperature and what is you exact measured waste ratio, not what the vendor claims. What brand and gpd RO membrane do you have?
Do you know the pH and calcium carbonate hardness of your water?

I just ordered my pressure gauges but I cannot attest to what it currently is until they arrive and I get them in place but my TDS before sediment is between 420 and 470 and after the RO it's between 14 and 26. It comes out of the first di as 0 and out of the second as 0 until they become exhausted of course. I have a 75 gallon per day dow filmtech membrane, I still need to measure temperature and waist ratio I will also measure hardness and pH when I get home
