Looking for help with hooking up my rodi unit in my new apartment under the bathroom sink. There is no room in the laundry space. I want to cause the least amount of damage and be as reversible as possible. Links to needed parts and supplies would be great. Thanks, BM

Go to homedepot and get a t water line connector. Shut off the water and cut the cold line and place the t in the line. Also get a small section of the water line and place it in the t. The get a shut off valve and attach the ro to the shut off valve. When you move shut off the valve and remove your line and you are all good. This should cost you less than $10 for the shark bite type connectors and you and find a YouTube video on how to disconnect the valves too. Do not use brass. Q

Thanks, Q. One more question though. I read about plumbing the wastewater line to the drain directly. Any suggestions for that?

You need a feed water adapter, not a tee. No cutting is required and there is no permanent damage.

You shut the cold water off, unscrew the chrome nut that holds the gray plastic line in the wall valve, screw the adapter in its place then screw the chrome nut on the end of it. You then install the 1/4" line that feeds the RO on the new valve and you are done. When you move you just take the feed water adapter with you and no one will know it was ever there since you don't have to cut and shorten the existing plumbing.
