RODI help!!!

Only had my RODI system for 2 months and tds has gone from zero to 170. What's with that??? How long do these filter last???

Depending on which model you have I recommend flushing the stagnant water inside the unit as this can cause TDS creep and this is probably what you are seeing.

Maybe 200 gallons. I ran 5 gallons thru and still reading 170. I'm sure they are spent. Just figured would get more.

What is the TDS of your water before it gets to the DI stage?

Running the system for a couple minutes twith the water going to the drain prior to getting to the DI resin will get rid of the TDS creep and make the resin last longer.

Could be extremely high TDS on your tap water but still sounds like something else is going on. Most RO cartridges last anywhere from 1,500 - 3,000 gallons and normally the DI cartridge needs to be replaced every 1,000 gallons. This will also vary with the model and make you're using. Any chance you've accidentally run hot water through it? That can make a cartridge fail.

I doubt it, but never say never. I have contacted Aqua FX. Will replace the cartridges and start checking every time. Hard lesson learned.

Unit in garage, South Florida. Very hot. Wonder if that is causing it?

Very possible. My son flipped the hot water on my RODI a few weeks back and it ran for an hour on hot. When I caught it, I was getting TDS around 200 (my tap is 360). I drained the RODI, then ran it on cold for an hour, tossed all that water, then ran and tested. Came back down to 10 TDS.
