Hello all, I have a problem with my RODI unit is not giving me a full stream as before. My system is about 8 years old, I had no problems with it till a couple of weeks ago the last time I filled up my container with water. It is not giving me a full stream. I think I may have cooked my DI UNIT IDK. The last time I made water I did not realize that I had my hot water running until 1 hour later ( I have it connected to my faucet in my kitchen). Help please.

What I would be doing is check the tds and research as much as possible at what temperature your rodi can be used at and guess what temp you ran yours at.
But if used hot water then could quite easily made something malfunction and clump together so may need replace all filters/ membrane and di resin,im a plumbing and heating engineer but no rodi expert so cant offer much help sorry .
Maybe ring your rodi manufacture up and see what they say

First I'd do what was mentioned above and check your pre membrane filters.

When did you last replace your pre-filters?
When did you last replace your RO membrane?
Do you know what your % rejection was prior to using hot water?
How hot was the water you used? 100?

NO TDS meter, have not changed membranes or filters. & top it all off my fish started to spawn.

I highly recommend the Aquatic Life R/O Buddie pump. It's a fantastic little upgrade that keeps pressure ideal and extends the life of your filters.
