Hi.

I'm having some problems with my TDS.

I'm getting 3ppm from the membrane but 5ppm from the DI pod

The resin is new as I've just changed. In fact I've changed it twice as I was still getting a higher TDS than 0

Any ideas what's happening

Have you tried switching the TDS sensors to make sure one is not faulty?

I had a recent issue with TDS not being removed by the DI, tried a new one and same thing. Switched to a different brand DI cartridge and it went back to 0 TDS.

Are you refilling the cartridge or using pre-filled? Could it be possible that it is not packed tight enough if refilling them?

Just my $0.02 based on my experience.

I have swopped the sensors just in case I even brought a new pod and still the same results

I was wondering if I can over pack it as I have a plunger to get it really tight

Have you put a couple of gallons of water through it before the test? DI needs a short rinse.
Is your water moving from bottom of the DI canister to the top?
This prevents channeling.

How old is your resin, did you purchase a giant bag and are still working through a bag purchased more than 1 year ago. How old is the system and have the lines ever been cleaned or replaced?

What type of resin is being packed and how many DI cartridges are you using?

Depending on your DI it may be stripping out a higher charged ion and dropping a weaker one which is why your TDS out is high, it's grabbing something from your RO but dropping another which would mean the DI is depleted. There's more to it then that, but that is simple terms, but new DI shouldn't do that.

Is your water high on CO2 or ammonia?

Are you using municipal or well water?

Mb115 is what I'm using brought it a week ago I'm not on a well not sure on co2 or ammonia reading it was fine the other day before I changed it
