I have had the BRS 75GPD RODI system for about 4-5 years and it has always been a very good unit. Since owning it I have changed out all the filters/cartridges twice (it doesn’t get worked very hard). When I first got it the clean line would drip water out but now it has become more of a stream. The production is more on the lines of 100GPD right now. I installed a brand new TDS meter about two months ago and when I first start making water it will read some TDS on in and out but naturally it goes down, in my case it goes all the way to 0 on both in and out. This steers me away from the membrane not being seated properly because if that was the case it should read higher TDS. Pressure is at 70psi. Please let me know if you could think of any reasons for this!

I’ve never heard of someone complaining about too much clean water lol maybe someone more clued up than me can chime in……

If you think the problem is an incorrectly seated membrane, have you tried to fix this?
Is it possible your TDS meter is not working properly?

i've had a 5 stage BRS 75 gpd for about 2 years...with an aquatec booster pump (low pressure due to well) so running about 80 lbs(pump between the filter cannisters and the membrane)...the output has never been a drip...always a fairly weak stream...basically it makes 5 gallons an hour...i have about 4 tds going in to the resin and 0 coming out

Ok that makes me feel better, I do about 5 gallons every 1.5hours. Good to hear its not too out of the normal!

That’s what I had mentioned earlier, it’s a brand new TDS meter and it does pick up TDS when the initial dirty water flushes through. So it’s not just stuck on 0. I feel like if the membrane wasn’t seated properly I would have at least a detectable amount of TDS.

I’m also the weirdo who has trouble keeping my PO4 and NO2 from going to zero constantly. I guess i’m just blessed with positive headaches lol

Has the pressure of temperature of the water changed? An increase in either will produce more permeate. My system ranges from 95 GPD to 61 GPD depending on water temp

Not sure, it’s really hot in Georgia right now though. I guess I can keep an eye on that when Winter rolls around.
