I just recently installed a 1650 gallon a day Rodi system the pressure on getting a 74 PSI I know that's amazing the question is would you put a booster pump on this if someone was giving you well pump for free. I know BRS they ran it up to 90, but is there anybody out there really running there's that high constantly without any problems? I know what the high pressure I'll get better flow rates less dissolve solids out of my RO membrane so my di resin will last longer
 
I have been reading about the extra pressure benefits and I am looking to boosting the pressure for better TDS to the DI. Let's see if we can get some more thoughts on this:)

It's a hundred and fifty gallon a day I don't know how to edit it sorry
 
I run my 150 gal/day RO/DI unit at 80psi. 90 is good, and won't cause issues, but you don't want to go higher. If you are already getting psi in the 70s, a booster pump will likely cause you to go over 90 psi. You can purchase a restrictor to bring it down to 90, but I don't think the benefits at that point would outweigh the costs. If it were me, I would leave it at 74 psi... you will get great performance.

I only use a booster because my psi WAS at 40. :)
 
I installed a booster pump and run it between 90-95 psi so system can produce RODI water at a quicker pace (about 1/3 quicker time).

My day-day water pressure prior to using a booster pump is 60-65 psi so a booster pump wasn't required but hate the longer waiting time.

I saw no improvement in reduction of TDS prior to DI with the pump, just quicker production time.
 
As you add pressure you'll see an improvement in rejection rate, but the effect is most pronounced at very low pressures. Once you get up to factory spec pressures the improvement in rejection is minimal
