Brs Rodi issue . Low pressure 37 to 40 and 5 tds, so I Replaced my 75 gal to 100 gal Dow membrane , upgraded to a 800 flow shutoff, and filters + refilled a new di resin . I use to get 55+ pressure and my tds was reading at 0 - 1, hence the replacement. Chicago city pressure. Any suggestions.

A booster pump would do the trick. They sell them on BRS and they install in a snap. Buy the pump, install it on the incoming source water line, start the water, plug the pump in and check the psi, 75 is good but nothing above 90.

Go with a booster pump.

I went with the smart buddie booster pump from aquatic life. Has automatic flush when it turns on, and auto shut off for both high pressure (if you use a float valve) or low pressure (flow from source water stops). The unit runs at a constant 90psi.

Just make sure it's installed properly....it's gets installed after your last carbon block and typically the auto shutoff valve. Do not install directly to you source water and the first sediment filter

? You referring to booster pump

I had the system for 3 years and no issues with pressure., why would I need a booster pump ? I it because of the 100 gal membrane ?

Something happened to your source water. Not clear if your city changed pumps, added more demand, pipes have become plugged with sediment ECT. Anything could have happened.

You should install the pump at the source water before the filters. As your sediment filter and carbon blocks become clogged over time it will cause the booster pump to pull water through creating extra wear on the pump. Most pumps can handle a little sediment going through them.

I installed my booster pump after the filters and before the membrane. The membrane is where the pressure really matters in order to get good waste water ratio. Your pressure also could have dropped because of the membrane upgrade. They require more pressure in order to work efficiently.

I suspect membrane. Open membrane and bleed off air/water and restart and see what happens.

I just changed the filters and upgraded from a 75 gal to 100 gal. Membrane. I live in Chicago. So I doubt the city changed pumps within few hours of changing filters.

Lots of good suggestions, but instead of trial and error... have you tried moving the pressure gauge to the input to see what you're getting from the source? That way you can make your decisions based on concrete information.

Ok. i think i know the issue is. Does the shutoff valve needs to be shutoff ? I had it open. pressure back up to 55 psi.

how long does it take to start getting a reading of 0 ppm in tds ? right now it's showing 4 in and 3 out

Make sure you didn't install the di cartridge upside down. If you refilled it yourself, make sure you packed it down really good.

YES !!!

30-60 mins of running

Ok. I got it figured out. Shutoff valve was open, closed it and pressure back up to 55.
DI resin arrows need to point up and not down. Fix that. Boom TDS back to 0.
New filters, new membrane equal happy corals and fish.
Thank you everyone!!
