Hey all,

Brand new to the hobby, but I am quickly seeing the need for my own RODI setup. My problem is I don't have a utility sink or outlet anywhere. What are you all doing in that case?

One thought I had was to mount in my garage and run a hose in there to it whenever I needed it, OR maybe get a splitter for my cold water inlet off my washing machine?

Any other suggestions I'm missing? Is there such a thing as a hose adaptor for a tub faucet?

Thanks in advance!

I actually had a plumber come and install a tee into one of the exposed water lines in the garage. My RODI tube screws right into it.

Splitting off the washing machines cold water source is also a pretty good option if you don’t want to deal with a plumber etc.

When I first got mine we were renting at the time and I had to come up with a good place to install it. We were at lowes one day and in there clearance section there was an over the toilet cabinet for a really good price. Then it came to me, what a perfect place to leave it permanently installed but still tucked away..

Used garden hose splitter off washing machine spigot. Works just fine. Routed the drain down the washing machine drain as well.

This seems like the ticket to me. I can hang the unit above the washer and dryer then run the clean water line down into a jug or bucket.
