Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Spectrapure Maxcap used on Ebay. They told me all filters were replaced 2 months ago. It has dual TDS meters. I am getting 280 TDS in on the left meter and 002 TDS out. The meter on the right side is giving me a reading of 005 TDS in. Does this mean that the membrane is going to need replaced? I would think TDS out on the left meter would read higher than the right meter. If anyone has any knowledge with this please chime in. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

When you buy used you never know how old the filters are? Did you let it run 10 or 15 minutes before taking readings?

Yes I did. I already have two new filters for it. Just dont know why I am getting a higher reading on the right meter. Does the out on the left meter mean out from the second chamber or is it out from the membrane?

I think those numbers are pretty normal. If your looking for 0 then that comes after the DI resin which is last. Only way you'll get 0 after the membrane is if it's brand new. I think :)
Drop a pm to AZDesertRat.

Not sure how your is set up.. On mine I have one that test my tap water and one that test the RO and then one that test the DI.. If you arte getting 02 out of the DI cartage it's time to replace you DI.. Also of the filters get dry, then can get messed up and needs to be replace.

Look and figure out where the "in" and "out" probes are for each meter. It is probably:
In -tapwater
Out -RO water
In - after the first DI
out - after the second DI.

Right?
