Rodi replacement filter help

The best are Spectrapure.
Something like this replacement kit:
MPDI System Cartridge Replacement Kit, Standard Twist-On Cap
Which is their basic 1 micron kit including a SilicaBuster DI cartridge

or this kit which is their better kit with 0.5 micron sediment and carbon and a SilicaBuster DI:
CSPDI System Cartridge Replacement Kit, Standard Twist-On Cap

or their best kit which includes the same 0.5 micron filters but has a Super SilicaBuster DI which lasts 30% longer for only $4 more:
CSPDI System Cartridge Replacement Kit, SuperDI High-Capacity

All are standard 10" size replacements and will fit your system perfectly.

Do I also need to buy a replacement RO membrane? If so what membrane should I also purchase? (The little canister that goes into the top) Unit is roughly 6 months

My RODI unit is putting out a TDS of 004 now. That is why I ask

Depending n how old it is, Membranes normally last two to three years depending on water quality. I have to change mine out every 18 months cause we don't have the best of water here in Vegas.

My water is roughly 150-185 TDS. Town water

The reason I ask about the membrane is because I can combine it with the filters and save on shipping if I need it. If you think just the filters will bring my TDS back down to 0 then I can hold out on buying the membrane.

never mind I just seen it was about 6 months old. You should not have to change it out and it should be fine.

Ok i ordered the filters, I went with the higher capacity ones - Thanks AZ!. Their shipping is extremley expensive hopefully these last atleast 6 months.

To know if you need a membrane you need to calculate your rejection rate. This is done by taking your tap water TDS, subtracting the RO only TDS, divide that number by the tap water TDS tan multiply by 100. An example would be your your 150 tap, minus the 4 RO only. 150-4=146, 146/150=.973, .973x100= 97.3% rejection rate which is pretty good so no need for a membrane. It should last 5-7 years or longer if you keep up with the replacements using quality filters and do an annual disinfection.
