I have same issue as the author here and wondered if this is a viable option for di resin replacement?
 
I think that is a misguided plan. It’s a fine idea to test your water and see what needs to be removed, but IMO, copper from your own pipes is the biggest potential issue. To blindly assume “trace elements” need not be removed is clearly not correct in all cases.

You tried aerating a vat full of water and pumping that into DI resin?

That’s what I’m trying to avoid. I know that is the option recommended but that’s just more work, more space required, another bin, another pump ect.
