Rodi stage needed

I am getting ready for a rodi unit and was wondering if a 4 stage was ok. I'm on City water using chlorine. Water comes from aquafers please help. Thank you

4 stage is a good place to start. It's really hard to tell what's going to be best without a water test and even then, I couldn't tell you what's going to work out best from that - couldn't for myself. I started with 4 stage, but was burning through mixed media so fast I upgraded to the three stage DI - now I just go through Anion media (much slower - 6 months). I would've liked the 4 stage to work though - just wasn't in the cards. City water here with chloramine.

FWIW - on BRS there’s very little cost difference between 4 and 5 stage. Literally only $10 at the moment. If your going back and forth may as well go for the extra stage now rather than update later unless there’s some other space constraints for a bigger system.

worst case - it’s a very economical way to get a spare canister and filter…

Oh and yes, for making good water - be very unusual for 4 stage not to work fine. It's how much is costs you to do that I was commenting on.
