I recently changed all my filter cartridges, RO membrane and resins, I accidentally broke my old canisters removing them but was able to use another systems canisters and lids. After finally getting everything set back up and running properly I flushed the system for 10 minutes then ran it, the tds initially measured really height but steadily dropped as the water flowed out, it’s still reading over zero after running for 45 minutes, is it normal for the tds to not measure 0 right after a filter change ?
Should I continue to run it until it reads zero ?

I am assuming it used to be zero before you used up your last filters? Ultimately a filter change should not be the cause for a change in tds. There are a couple of thoughts:

1. Lower quality filters
2. Filters not sitting properly so some water is by passing them
3. Di media exhausted
4. Source water got exceptionally dirty for some reason
5. Potentially bad tds meter (doubt it)

Yes, tds was at 1 before change now it’s at 7 I replaced everything except tds meter same filters I’ve always purchased, resins both replaced. I’ll check canisters. Because I’m using different canisters then the original it’s possible the filters aren’t sitting properly ?
I’ll re check everything
Thanks
