I'm looking to install my own system. I have a 90 gallon mixed reef. I have Aurora Colorado city water which uses chloramines:

MRDLG Average Level 1.78. Detected Range Sample 0.24 - 2.80

I have been using the 5-Stage RO/DI system from BRS for 2 1/2 years with no issue. Of course, I recommend changing out the filters every year.

I second the BRS 5 stage. I’ve had mine for about 6 months and it’s been a godsend. Very easy to set up and maintain.

here is my write up on my $99 portable unit that after 5 years with one year old filters was putting out 0 TDS. In an exchange with Randy, special filters are not needed for chloramines - just pickup a chlorine test kit (will read chloramine too) to confirm.
