Does anyone know if this ro system will work? I think it just needs new filters / membrane.

I'm not a fan of horizontal resin canisters, but as long as it's using standard size filters, why not? If it doesn't work because of leak, those standard size filters and membrane can be used again.

I may look into all new orings though.

There are also universal upgrades, shutoff valves, tds meters, bypass flow restrictors, etc. But those are easy add ons.

It doesn't leak.. so I guess I'll buy the new filters for it.

I think that setup is for drinking water, ie the top unit. If memory serves, that top unit adds minerals back to the water so when drinking it tastes like something. Just take that out of line and I believe you will be good to go
