Had a local fish store quote me an RODI system, what do you think ?
Should I just build one myself off of BRS?

Double Ro and Double DI is a pretty high-end system.

How good/bad is your source water?

I’m on a well, TDS meter was 118

Water report is attached

I just saw this posted on Facebook for $100. Within 45 minutes of where I live.
Thoughts ?
I have heard of people buying systems on eBay as well, new but cheaper versions.
I’m on a budget, and trying to get the wife to buy I got this.

Anytime you purchase a used RODI, it's always wise to replace all the filters and membrane. that one looks like it's missing the booster pump, a 2nd RO membrane and only has a single cartridge for DI. I would view that system as a bare bones RODI, noting wrong with it except the question being, will it fit your needs???

Hahah sorry here’s another. Buying used an issue ? Or should I buy new?
Also brand names make a difference? This one is brand new on eBay.

With 118 TDS, you should be in pretty good shape.

Sediment, Carbon, Membrane, DI should be all you need.

That used system should be fine once you replace all the filters.

Note: Membranes aren't cheap.

Thank you
So a 4 stage
And if I want to cut my waste water down, use a boost pump and an extra membrane ?

If I remember correctly and I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that if you are on a well and you have hard water a water softener is recommended since you will go through filters at lightening speed

I use this system. Very much less expensive but it seems to work great! I've had it for about 3 months making water for a 46gallon, 65 gallon, and 20 gallon.
