ok so I bought a used 4 stage kleanwater with gauge and dual tds. I added on a brs dual di. I got it all hooked up and put my first tds right after the flush valve. The second tds is coming off the di after both stages. I turned on the water and let it flush. Tds was crazy high but crept down to about 177 tds after 3 five gallon buckets but then it stayed at 177. I figured I would just see if it would drop after di and I’m at 206. All filters and resin are new. Only thing that isn’t new is the membrane. First rodi and would like some help please

Are you sure you have it hooked up right? You will see a tds creep anytime you start your unit up but it should be zero quite quickly. Mine is zero after the di resin almost instantly. Are you sure you have the waste water from the membrane going to waste and the clean water going to the di?

It sounds almost like you have the high TDS waste from the membrane passing through your di resin.

Do you have a hand held tds meter. I always use that to double check the in-line meter. As they can be off sometimes.

The flush valve is on the waste side of the system. TDS will remain high there

Ya thanks for the replies everyone. i ended up getting zero after the di. It just took longer than I thought.

If the DI resin is working it should be zero all the time. Should not have to run it for awhile to get to zero.
