Want to at last setup a RODI unit. For now I have been just buying salt and distilled from my LFS. Is it More cost efficient in the long run to have a RODI? Water is pretty clean in my area so I wouldn't need something super intense. Recommend any particular brands?

There are multiple brands that you can buy. BRS, Spectrapure, buckeye hydro.
Personally, I bought a used one from FB marketplace. Didn't think about the brand. Got it way cheaper than the sticker price. Just needed to buy new filters.
There are always ppl getting out of the hobby sale.
As long you buy the "regular" rodi system not like robuddie. Those you have to buy their own filters

Here's a price comparison chart I made a few months ago; some of the prices will be outdated (more cheap or more expensive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). If the water's pretty clean, you can probably get away with a 4 stage RODI.
