So I got the Aquatic Life 4 stage RODI unit and I've had it almost 2 months now. I test my RODI water today after topping off and it's up at 35ppm. The DI resin doesn't look like it's changed color all the way yet. I'm in San Diego and my tap is ~350 TDS When I first got the unit the RODI water was testing at 0 TDS. I recently read somewhere that you shouldn't let the DI resin see direct sunlight. My RODI unit is mounted in the garage and it's in full sun when the door is open. Would this have made it deteriorate faster? How do I know what canister to change?

The RODI unit was one of the first things I bought for the tank and as such it was a hasty purchase having not considered the BRS RODI unit. How often do the canisters need to be swapped out? I'm wondering if I should consider switching to the BRS unit.

I just checked the RODI in the brute trashcan and its at 10. When I got 35 it was in the bucket I topped off with. Residue in the bucket maybe? And I looked the the DI resin and its like 70% changed. So I guess I'll grab a new one.
